WTA No. 2 Maria Sharapova has withdrawn from Russia’s Fed Cup semifinal match against Germany this weekend because of a leg injury, she announced on Tuesday.

Sharapova, 27, last played in the Miami Open on March 26. She was upset 7–6, 6–3 by No. 97 Daria Gavrilova in the second round of the tournament.

In a Facebook post, Sharapova said she only recently returned to the court and is gradually increasing her workload.
