In this week's episode of the SI Tennis Beyond the Baseline Podcast, Sports Illustrated executive editor and host Jon Wertheim talks with co-CEO of tech company Oracle Mark Hurd about his college tennis career, the ATP and WTA tours and more.

A former college tennis player at Baylor University, Hurd is still very involved in the sport and discusses how he made the transition from tennis to the business world. Wertheim and Hurd also talk about the intersection of business and sports—what advice would he give Serena going forward for the remainder of the season as her manager in the business world? He also discusses his company's upcoming tournament, the inaugural Oracle/ITA Masters, the first national collegiate championship of the 2015-16 season, which will be played from Sept. 18-20 at the Malibu Racquet Club in Malibu, Calif., and how he supports tennis recruitment at both the collegiate and professional levels.

At the end of the podcast, Wertheim also discusses additional Mailbag questions about the U.S. Open, including what's in store for Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams, Martina Hingis's career, what's next for Donald Young and more.
