Two matches, two highlights for Gael Monfils.

Monday, in his first round match, the Frenchman destroyed a baseline clock going for a shot well over his head. On Wednesday, he snuck a tweener over the net in a match against Jan Satral.

During the third set, Monfils ran toward the net to play a shot from Satral, leapt up, and flung his racket between his legs to continue the rally. He made it look routine.

Monfils went on to take the third set, and the match, 7–5, 6–4, 6–3. The No. 10 seed will face Nicolas Almagro in the third round on Friday.
