Is Anthony Edwards Playing Tonight? (Injury Update, Betting Impact for Timberwolves vs. Pistons)

In this story:
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards returned to the lineup on Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks after missing six games with a knee injury.
The star guard can only miss one more game the rest of the season to remain eligible for All-NBA and end-of-season awards, and he's listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Detroit Pistons.

Edwards played just 22:37 in his return to action on Tuesday, coming off the bench for the Wolves. He scored 17 points and dished out four assists in a 30-point wi. So, it's possible that Edwards could have played more if the Timberwolves needed him to.
“I was miserable,” Edwards said after the game about missing two weeks with his knee issue. “I was a little stressed out. I told them I was insecure when I came back.”
On Thursday, oddsmakers at DraftKings have set the Wolves as 3.5-point road underdogs against the Pistons. Detroit is down star guard Cade Cunningham (collapsed lung), but it has won six of eight games since he went down.
Minnesota is in a serious race for a top-five spot in the Western Conference, as it is currently two games back of the No. 4-seeded Denver Nuggets and 0.5 games behind the Houston Rockets. A win on Thursday would go a long way for Edwards and the Wolves earning a top-five seed.
If he plays, Edwards likely will be back in the starting line up on Thursday. He revealed why he didn't start Tuesday's game after Minnesota's win.

Edwards may be a tough player to bet on in this matchup since he played limited minutes on Tuesday, and oddsmakers have dropped his points prop to 25.5 on Thursday. This season, the star guard is averaging 29.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 40.4 percent from 3-point range.
