The Houston Astros are hoping to end their road trip on a high note as they close out their series against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday afternoon.

The Astros won the opener 6-3 in San Diego before dropping their next two games, and got another 6-3 victory to start their series in San Francisco before last night’s 4-1 loss.

That win ended a three-game skid for the Giants, who are still just 2-5 in their last seven games.

Here are the odds, probable pitchers, and predictions for Astros vs. Giants on Wednesday, Aug 12.

Astros vs. Giants Odds, Run Line and Total

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

Run Line

  • Astros -1.5 (+109)
  • Giants +1.5 (-131)

Astros vs. Giants Probable Pitchers

  • Astros: Bryan King (2-3, 3.83 ERA)
  • Giants: Adrian Houser (3-7, 4.55 ERA)

Bryan King gets his first MLB start as he serves as the opener this afternoon. He allowed a two-run home run to Austin Hays while striking out the side in his last appearance.

Adrian Houser is getting a chance to start after being moved to the bullpen in June. He’s allowed seven runs on 23 hits in 31 innings (2.03 ERA) across nine appearances since then.

Astros vs. Giants How to Watch

Astros vs. Giants Best MLB Prop Bets

Astros Best MLB Prop Bet

  • Cam Smith OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-118)

Cam Smith has been stepping up as of late for Houston. The outfielder is 17 for 41 (.415) with three home runs, two doubles, and a triple in his last 11 games.

Smith has gone OVER 1.5 HRR in both games in this series, six of his last seven contests, and eight of his last 10.

Astros vs. Giants Prediction and Pick

I don’t necessarily trust either of today’s starting pitcher situations, but I don’t have much faith in these offenses either.

There have been 14 runs scored through two games in this series, and the Astros’ big bats have gone cold recently.

I’ll take the UNDER at a pitcher-friendly Oracle Park.

Pick: UNDER 8.5 (-118)
