Best NBA Prop Bets Today (Predictions for Jayson Tatum, Jamal Murray, Jalen Johnson)

In this story:
It may be April Fool’s Day, but when it comes to NBA player props, we don’t fool around here at SI Betting.
Each day, I share my favorite prop picks across the Association, and an exciting nine-game slate on Wednesday gives us a top of options to choose from. A ton of playoff or play-in teams are in action, and I’m eyeing three player prop picks, including a play for Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, who is coming off his best game of the season since returning from a ruptured Achilles.
Tatum torched the Charlotte Hornets over the weekend, and after sitting out Monday’s loss to Atlanta, he should return to his usual role against the Miami Heat.
Here’s a breakdown of the odds and analysis behind each of my player prop picks for April 1.
Best NBA Prop Bets for Wednesday, April 1
Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook
Jalen Johnson to Record a Double-Double (-170)
Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson had a massive showing against the Orlando Magic in late March, putting up 24 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists to record his 13th triple-double of the 2025-26 season.
Johnson is +466 to record a triple-double on Wednesday, but I’m eyeing him to get a double-double (-170) for the 46th time in 68 games. The star forward is averaging a double-double this season (22.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game).
Now, he takes on an Orlando Magic team that is just 23rd in the league in defensive rating over its last 10 games. Johnson has a double-double in 10 of his 17 games since the All-Star break, averaging 21.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game during that stretch.
Jamal Murray OVER 11.5 Rebounds and Assists (-110)
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is having an All-NBA caliber season, averaging 25.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.
I’m targeting his assists and rebounds prop on Wednesday in an easy matchup against the Utah Jazz, who have been one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA this season. Utah ranks dead last in the league in defensive rating, opponent points per game and opponent assists per game.
Murray had 14 dimes and six boards in a March 27th meeting with the Jazz, and he’s recorded 11, 10 and 20 rebounds and assists against them this season. The Nuggets star has at least 12 rebounds and assists in back-to-back games, and he should remain a focal point of the Denver offense on Wednesday.
Jayson Tatum OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-157)
Tatum has not shot the 3-ball well in the 2025-26 season, but it hasn’t stopped him from taking a ton of shots from beyond the arc.
In 11 games, Tatum is shooting 32.3 percent from 3-point range on 9.0 attempts per game – the third-highest mark of his career. He’s only made three or more 3-pointers in five of his 11 games, but he’s now taking on a Miami team that is in the bottom 10 in the NBA in opponent 3s made per game this season.
The Heat play at the fastest pace in the NBA, so Boston should have a few more possessions than usual (the C’s are dead last in pace), which could lead to more attempts from Tatum. The Celtics star is coming off his best game of the season, scoring 32 points while shooting 5-for-10 from beyond the arc from 3 in a win over Charlotte.
