The New York Yankees are fighting for the top spot in the American League East, while the Toronto Blue Jays are in the midst of a tight race for a wild card spot.

The two AL East teams will face each other in a three-game series over the weekend, just one week after playing in a three-game series in Toronto. The Blue Jays went 2-1 in that series, but now it turns to the Bronx, and the AL Cy Young favorite Cam Schlittler is on the mound.

• Cam Schlittler OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-111)

One of the Blue Jays' biggest strengths is not striking out, but I think the total is low enough on Cam Schlittler's strikeout total that now is the rare spot to bet the OVER on a strikeout prop against this Toronto offense. Schlittler has faced the Blue Jays three times already this season, reaching seven strikeouts in all three of them. All he has to do is reach seven strikeouts against them for the fourth time this season, and we'll cash this bet.

Blue Jays vs. Yankees Prediction and Best Bet

When the Yankees have Schlittler on the mound, the UNDER is the bet to make. He sports an impressive 2.19 ERA this season, and while the Blue Jays' offense has improved of late, he should have no issue limiting them through the first six innings.

With that being said, I don't have faith in the Yankees' offense enough for me to bet on them as significant favorites. Over the past 30 days, the Yankees have a wRC+ of 78, which is the third-worst mark in the Majors in that time frame.

The UNDER has hit comfortably in all three times that Schlittler has faced the Blue Jays this season. I see no reason not to bet on it cashing for a fourth time.
