Is Caitlin Clark Playing Tonight? (Injury Update, Betting Impact for Liberty vs. Fever)

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has been on the injury report for a lot of the 2026 season, as she deals with a back injury.

However, she has not missed a game since July 9 and has appeared in 28 of Indiana's 32 games in the 2026 season.

So, bettors and fans should expect Clark (probable) to suit up in tonight's matchup against the New York Liberty.

This is a massive game for both teams, as the Fever are just a half game ahead of New York in the standings and only have a 1.5-game cushion over the No. 8-seeded Dallas Wings. Just three games separate the No. 3-seeded Las Vegas Aces from the Wings in the standings, making every game crucial for playoff positioning.

Oddsmakers seem to think Clark will be in the lineup, as the Fever are 4.5-point favorites at home on Tuesday night. Indiana blew out New York the last time these teams played, and the Liberty have struggled against the spread on the road, covering in just three of their 16 games.

Clark has several different player prop markets available at DraftKings, as she's projected for 22.5 points, 2.5 3-pointers made, 4.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists in this matchup. Clark had 17 points and seven dimes in just over 26 minutes in Indiana's blowout win over New York back on July 18.

This season, the star guard is in the mix to win the WNBA's MVP award, sitting behind only A'ja Wilson and Olivia Miles in the latest odds. Clark was limited to just 13 games in 2025, but the former No. 1 overall pick has bounced back in a big way this season, averaging 21.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from 3.

Barring a pre-game setback, Clark should be in the lineup for the Fever on Tuesday as they look to jump back into the top four in the standings.
