The Detroit Pistons have a stronghold on the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, and they find themselves as road favorites on Saturday night in a matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Saturday’s game is the second night of a back-to-back for Philly, which picked up a huge win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. The 76ers are the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference, as they currently hold the tiebreaker over the Toronto Raptors. However, Philly needs to close the regular season strong if it wants to avoid the play-in since it is just three games up on the No. 10-seeded Miami Heat.

Philly may end up being short-handed on Saturday, as Joel Embiid has not played in back-to-backs this season and he was on the court for Friday’s win over Minnesota. The Sixers have yet to release an injury report, but both Embiid and veteran Paul George are extremely questionable on Saturday.

Detroit is 7-2 straight up since Cade Cunningham (collapsed lung) went down, but can it win this game outright on the road?

Pistons vs. 76ers Best NBA Prop Bet

Pistons Best NBA Prop Bet

  • Daniss Jenkins OVER 16.5 Points (-110)

Pistons guard Daniss Jenkins has stepped up in a big way since Cunningham went down, averaging 19.3 points on 14.7 shots per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 44.2 percent from 3-point range.

Jenkins has scored 17 or more points in six of those nine games, including four games with at least 20 points.

Philadelphia is just 17th in the NBA in defensive rating this season, and Jenkins’ usage is way up as a starter. He’s played 33 or more minutes in eight of the last nine games, taking double-digit shots in all but one of them.

He should be in the mix to clear this number on Saturday.

Pistons vs. 76ers Prediction and Pick

Detroit has not taken a step back since Cunningham went down, ranking seventh in the NBA in net rating (+10.9) over its last 10 games.

The Sixers are playing well over their last 10 games as well (12th in net rating), but they’re a much different team when Embiid doesn’t play this season. I’d be shocked to see them push the big man on the second night of a back-to-back, and Philly is two games under .500 (19-21) without the former MVP in the 2025-26 season.

On top of that, the Sixers have struggled against teams that are .500 or better, going 18-30 overall. So, this is certainly a winnable matchup for a Detroit team that should have most of its main rotation players in action.

The Pistons are 18-10 straight up when favored on the road this season, and I think they’re the bet to make with the rest advantage on Saturday. Philly clearly went after the front end of this back-to-back by playing Embiid and George, so I wouldn’t be shocked if it is short-handed on Saturday night.

Pick: Pistons Moneyline (-135 at DraftKings)
