Seahawks vs. Steelers Final Score Prediction for NFL Week 2 (Bet on Aaron Rodgers?)

Pittsburgh is 62-58-2 against the spread as a home favorite under Mike Tomlin.

Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers pulled out a close win over the New York Jets in Week 1, and they find themselves as favorites in Week 2 at home against the Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle is 0-1 after losing to the San Francisco 49ers, and it was a tough loss to say the least. Seattle blew a fourth-quarter lead in the final minutes, then after getting into position to score a go-ahead touchdown, Sam Darnold fumbled after getting hit by his own offensive lineman.

So, now Seattle is on the road and facing an uphill battle if it doesn’t want to start the 2025 campaign at 0-2.

All season long, the SI Betting team is going to share score predictions using the latest odds and analysis to attempt to get a score right – and give bettors our thoughts on both the spread and total.

Here’s where I’m leaning for this Seahawks-Steelers showdown on Sunday afternoon.

Seahawks vs. Steelers Odds, Spread and Total

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

Spread

  • Seahawks +3 (-115)
  • Steelers -3 (-105)

Moneyline

  • Seahawks: +140
  • Steelers: -166

Total

  • 40.5 (Over -105/Under -115)

For the second straight week, the Steelers have a low total in their matchup, as they’re set at just 40.5 points against Seattle after a 38.5 number (that they breezed past) in Week 1 against the New York Jets.

In Mike Tomlin’s career, the Steelers are 62-58-2 against the spread as home favorites, but can they add to that on Sunday?

Seahawks vs. Steelers Final Score Prediction

I didn’t come away impressed with Seattle in Week 1, as it struggled on offense and failed to take advantage of a lot of special teams miscues from the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, Seattle has to go on the road to face a Steelers team that played well in Week 1 with Aaron Rodgers throwing four scores.

Rodgers isn’t going to win an MVP this season, but I don’t mind backing him early in the season in warmer weather when he’s not nearly as banged up from the stress of a full NFL season.

SI’s NFL betting insider Iain MacMillan agrees, taking the Steelers to cover in this matchup in his Road to 272 column

I had a theory heading into this season that Aaron Rodgers would look far better than he did with the Jets last year. His best starts were in his last six games in 2024, which tells me he may not have been completely over his injury in the first half of the season. He was one of the most effective quarterbacks in Week 1, and now he and the Steelers get to host a Seahawks team that I wasn't impressed with.

Sam Darnold looked a lot closer to the Sam Darnold of old on Sunday, and the Seahawks couldn't get much going on the ground. I think this team is worse than the public opinion of them at the moment, so I'm going to fade them in this spot against Pittsburgh.

I’ll back Tomlin’s group to move to 2-0 in what should be a winnable game at home.

Final Score Prediction: Steelers 24, Seahawks 20
