Syracuse has lost three games in a row after winning two straight, and Louisville has lost three of its last four games after a five-game winning streak.

The bad news for the Cardinals is that they were favored in all three of those losses. The good news is that they’re back at home, where they’re 14-2 on the season. On the flip side, Syracuse is just 2-6 on the road.

Mikel Brown Jr., Guard, Louisville Cardinals

Louisville has a pair of guards leading the way this season in senior Ryan Conwell and likely NBA lottery pick Mikel Brown Jr. The freshman is averaging 18.2 points per game this season to go along with 3.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

Brown, much like his team, is looking to get back on track tonight at home. He was held to just 5 points on 2 of 10 shooting (0 of 6 from deep) in Saturday’s loss at Clemson.

Syracuse vs. Louisville Prediction and Pick

I don’t think I can trust Louisville to cover a double-digit spread right now, even given these teams’ home and road splits.

Syracuse has covered the spread all three times it was an underdog of between +10.5 and +14.5 this season. The Orange just lost by five at Wake Forest, and covered the spread at Virginia and UNC earlier in February.

I wouldn’t be shocked if this game does happen to get out of hand, but I’m backing the Orange as road underdogs tonight.
