The San Diego Padres return home for a three-game set against the Minnesota Twins starting on Friday night.

The Twins had an up-and-down homestand, winning two of three against the O’s, then getting swept by the Phillies before sweeping the Braves themselves.

Meanwhile, the Padres went 3-3 on their road trip, winning two of three in Cleveland before dropping two of three to the Mets.

Here are the odds, probable pitchers, and predictions for Twins vs. Padres on Friday, Aug. 21.

Twins vs. Padres Probable Pitchers

  • Twins: Connor Prielipp (3-6, 5.34 ERA)
  • Padres: Randy Vasquez (8-6, 4.30 ERA)

Connor Prielipp had a string of solid starts come to a thud last time out, allowing eight runs on eight hits with four walks in five innings against the Phillies.

Randy Vasquez is expected to get the start tonight. He allowed four runs in five innings of bulk relief last weekend after allowing two runs total in his previous two starts.

Twins vs. Padres Best MLB Prop Bets

Twins Best MLB Prop Bet

  • Luke Keaschall OVER 0.5 Singles (-125)

Luke Keaschall is batting .361 in his last 17 games, going 22 for 61 with 14 singles in that span.

The Twins outfielder has five singles in his last three games, hitting a single in four of his last five and six of his last nine contests overall to bring him up to a 57% clip on the season.

Twins vs. Padres Prediction and Pick

I broke down this pick in SI Betting’s daily MLB best bets column, Walk-Off Wagers:

The Padres will be happy to be back at home, where they’re 37-26 on the season. They held their own on their road trip, winning two of three in Cleveland before dropping two of three to the Mets.

The Twins have also had their ups and downs recently, getting swept by the Phillies before sweeping the Braves. Still, I don’t think this Minnesota team is for real, and the Twins are just 28-34 on the road.

Connor Prielipp got roughed up last time out, and Randy Vasquez has allowed two runs in his last two starts.

I’ll take the Padres to get back on track as they return home.

Pick: Padres -115
