Peter’s Points: WNBA Best Bets Today (Predictions, Prop Bets for Kelsey Mitchell, Mystics vs. Aces)

In this story:
Four teams in the top eight in the standings are in action on Tuesday night in the WNBA, as the New York Liberty face the Indiana Fever and the Washington Mystics take on the Las Vegas Aces.
New and Washington are both on long winning streaks, yet both teams are underdogs on Aug. 11:
- New York Liberty (+4.5) vs. Indiana Fever
- Washington Mystics (+7.5) vs. Las Vegas Aces
- Phoenix Mercury (-1.5) vs. Los Angeles Sparks
Tuesday’s action also features Kelsey Plum’s return to Los Angeles after she was traded at the deadline, but the star guard is out with a calf injury.
Playoff positioning is on the line for several teams, as just three games separate the No. 3-seeded Aces from the No. 8-seeded Dallas Wings.
On Tuesday, I’m targeting two of these games in Peter’s Points, including a player prop to Fever star Kelsey Mitchell, who has been one of the best shooters in the WNBA this season.

- Kelsey Mitchell OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-174)
- Washington Mystics +7.5 (-110) vs. Las Vegas Aces
Kelsey Mitchell OVER 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-174)
This season, Mitchell is shooting 43.5 percent from 3-point range, and she’s made at least three shots from beyond the arc in 20 of her 32 games.
The four-time All-Star has been even better as of late, knocking down three or more 3-pointers in 17 of her last 19 games while shooting over 49.0 percent from 3. She’s also averaging over 26 points per game during that stretch.
Over that 19-game period, Mitchell had a 4-for-6 game from beyond the arc against this Liberty team, which has struggled defending the 3-ball in 2026.
The Liberty are 11th in both opponent 3s made per game and opponent 3-point percentage.
Mitchell is averaging 2.9 made 3s on 6.7 attempts per game in 2026, and she’s a great bet to clear this number for the 18th time in 20 games.
Washington Mystics +7.5 (-110) vs. Las Vegas Aces
There are too many trends lining up in Washington’s favor on Tuesday night, especially with oddsmakers setting the Aces as big favorites.
Las Vegas lost the last meeting between these teams, and it has struggled a bit when favored at home, going just 7-7 against the spread.
Meanwhile, the Mystics have won seven games in a row and have been absolutely dynamite when set as underdogs in 2026.
Washington is 7-3 against the spread as a road underdog and 16-4 against the numbers as an underdog overall. Now, the Mystics are getting multiple possessions against an Aces team that is playing a third game in four nights.
Over the last 10 games, Washington has the fourth-best net rating in the WNBA while the Aces clock in at 10th. I am not willing to predict a Mystics upset, but I do think they’re in a great spot to cover on Tuesday night.
