Peter’s Points: WNBA Best Bets Today (Predictions, Prop Bets for Napheesa Collier, Wings-Tempo, Lynx-Fire, CHI-GSV)

In this story:
An exciting three-game slate is set for Wednesday night in the WNBA, as MVP candidates Paige Bueckers and Olivia Miles both will take the floor.
Dallas is looking to snap a three-game skid with a home game against a struggling Toronto team while the Minnesota Lynx are massive favorites on the road, where they are 13-2 this season.
Wednesday, Aug. 12’s WNBA Games
- Toronto Tempo vs. Dallas Wings
- Chicago Sky vs. Golden State Valkyries
- Minnesota Lynx vs. Portland Fire
This is an interesting three-game slate, as all three teams currently in the top eight in the standings are heavily favored to win. Will they come through?
I have a bet for each of these games and a player prop for Lynx star Napheesa Collier as she works her way back into her usual role after an ankle injury cost her the majority of the 2026 season.

WNBA Best Bets Today
- Wings + Valkyries + Lynx Parlay (-162)
- Napheesa Collier OVER 7.5 Rebounds (-123)
Wings + Valkyries + Lynx Parlay (-162)
It’s very rare that I take a three-leg parlay in these picks, but I’m a huge fan of all of these favorites at least winning these games, even though I don’t love betting on all of them to cover.
Dallas Wings Moneyline
Dallas has multiple wins by double digits against the Tempo already this season, and Toronto is on a nine-game losing streak with a net rating of minus-19.0 in its last 10 games.
The Tempo have just four road wins all season, and they’re now the worst defense in the league in defensive rating and opponent points per game.
Dallas has not played well as of late, slipping to eighth in the standings, but it still is 4-4 against the spread as a home favorite and 9-6 straight up at home.
I believe Paige Bueckers and the Wings will be too much for a Tempo team that hasn’t won a game since the All-Star break concluded.
Golden State Valkyries Moneyline
Golden State may be in a tough spot to cover against a Chicago team that is 8-4 against the spread as a road underdog, but the Valkyries have won a ton at home this season.
In 17 home games, the Valkyries are 13-4, and they still have the best defense in the WNBA. Chicago has played better over its last 10 games (5-5), but the Sky are just 4-12 on the road and remain in the bottom half of the league in both offensive rating and net rating this season.
The Valkyries should be able to win this game to keep pace with the Lynx in the standings.
Minnesota Lynx Moneyline
Speaking of the Lynx, they’re in a great spot to move to 3-0 against the Portland Fire on Wednesday.
Minnesota is a league-best 13-2 on the road this season, and it already has wins by 33 and eight points against Portland.
The Fire are on a two-game winning streak, but they are still just 12th in the W in net rating and 13th in defensive rating. Plus, the Lynx are a league best 7-5 against the spread when favored on the road with an average scoring margin of plus-11.3 points per game.
They should continue their elite play against a team that is a long shot to make the playoffs.
Napheesa Collier OVER 7.5 Rebounds (-123)
This season, Collier is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game across seven games, but she’s picked up at least eight boards in four of those matchups.
Since Collier started playing over 30 minutes per game (her last four games), she’s pulled down eight rebounds exactly in three of those matchups. The All-WNBA forward averaged over eight rebounds per game in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, so she’s more than capable of clearing this prop on Wednesday night.
The Fire are just 13th in the WNBA in rebound percentage, which sets up well for the Lynx and Collier. I expect the star forward to continue her strong play since the franchise has extended her minutes. Collier missed the start of the season with an ankle injury, but she’s still averaging 19.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 51.0 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from 3.
