Bob Arum, the CEO of the company (Top Rank) that promotes Manny Pacquiao, says undefeated world welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather is the "one man stopping" a fight between the two boxers, according to The Wall Street Journal.

"Mayweather values his zero, his undefeated record more than life itself," Arum said. "Remember now this isn't a guy that has a lot of depth, this is a guy who lives on the surface as I see and being undefeated for him is everything."

Floyd Mayweather sued by former fiancee

Arum told the San Francisco Chroniclelast week that he is "very optimistic" that the long-anticipated bout will take place in the first six months of 2015. Arum said the TV networks representing Pacquiao and Mayweather have reportedly met and discussed the fight and that the parties have resolved previous "impediments."

Pacquiao will face Chris Algieri in Macau, China on Nov. 22, while Mayweather will face Marcos Maidana on Sept. 13 in Las Vegas.
