Cheapest Mayweather-Pacquiao ticket will be $1,500

Tickets for the May 2 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will cost between $1,500 and $7,500, promoters announced at a press conference Wednesday. 

Tickets in 16,800 seat arena are expected to scarce, with sponsors, promoters and celebrities occupying the majority of the seats.

Though tickets are yet available for purchase, about 200 are listed on the resale market, according to TiqIQ. The cheapest tickets available on the secondary market are listed for $4,175. The most expensive are going for $33,410.

The fight will also be available as a pay-per-view on Showtime and HBO. The price has not yet been announced but is expected to be between $90 and $100.

The fight was announced on Feb. 20 after years of speculation about whether the two best pound-for-pound fighters of their generation would ever meet in the ring.
