Report: Dayton dismisses two accused of stealing from dorms

Wednesday December 17th, 2014

Dayton coach Archie Miller has dismissed junior forwards Devon Scott and Jalen Robinson from the team for an unspecified violation of team rules, the school announced Wednesday.

ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports the players "were involved in a trespassing incident in the dorms in which they allegedly stole money."

Scott, a team captain, had started all nine games for the Flyers and was averaging a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game. Robinson appeared in each game off the bench. The two were high school teammates in Columbus, Ohio.

Report: Iowa State G Sherron Dorsey-Walker to transfer

The departure of Scott and Robinson leaves the Flyers without a player taller than 6-foot-6. Freshman center Steve McElvene is academically ineligible and will sit out this season.

The Flyers are 7-2 this season, with losses to Connecticut and Arkansas. They play Boston University on Saturday.

Report: Texas G Damarcus Croaker to transfer
