North Carolina No. 1 in AP Preseason Top 25 poll

The University of North Carolina is ranked No. 1 in the AP’s Preseason Top 25 poll for the ninth time, the most of any school in history. It marks the team’s first No. 1 ranking in the AP poll since the 2011–12 season, when it reached the Elite Eight.
Despite having the top recruiting class in the country according to Rivals, Kentucky sits at No. 2, ahead of Maryland, Kansas and Duke, which made its 156th straight top 25.
The Big Ten has the most teams in the poll with six, followed by the ACC and Big 12 with four.
