After a 9–2 run brought Wisconsin even with Maryland in the closing minute on Saturday, Terrapins guard Melo Trimble silenced the crowd in Madison and gave Maryland a 63–60 victory on the road.
A three from Wisconsin’s Bronson Koenig tied the game at 60–60 with 26 seconds to go, leaving the ball in Trimble’s hands for the game’s final shot. He approached the three-point arc with seven seconds remaining, and with five left, he took a three-pointer from well outside the arc and buried the Badgers.
Trimble finished with 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting to help Maryland improve to 15–1 with the win.
