Duke sophomore Grayson Allen helped the unranked Duke Blue Devils to a 63–62 upset win over the No. 7 Virginia Cavaliers with an acrobatic last-second shot.

With Duke down 62–61, Allen caught an inbound pass with six seconds remaining, dribbled in, hung in midair and banked in a short shot.

Virginia coach Tony Bennett was under the impression that Allen’s foot landed before he could get the shot off.

Freshman Brandon Ingram led Duke with 25 points and seven rebounds.

The Blue Devils improve to 8–4 in ACC play, while the Cavaliers fall to 9–4.
