The No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish are headed to the Elite Eight after a thrilling 61–56 win over No. 7 Wisconsin.

Down 56–55 with just under 15 seconds to play, Demetrius Jackson stripped Nigel Hayes, and scored on a layup to put Notre Dame out in front 57–56.

After Bronson Koenig drove down and missed a layup thanks to some staunch defense, the Irish went ahead 59–57 on a pair of V.J. Beachem free throws. As Wisconsin tried for a final shot to tie the game, Jackson came up with another steal.

Notre Dame will play North Carolina in the Elite Eight on Sunday.
