Iowa's Tevaun Smith tops Odell Beckham's one-handed catch record

Friday January 30th, 2015

One day after New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. set a world record for the most one-handed catches in one minute, Iowa receiver Tevaun Smith topped it.

In one minute, Beckham caught 33 passes one-handed from New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on Thursday in an event televised by ESPN. On Friday, Iowa football posted a video of the 6-foot-2 Smith catching 41 passes with one hand in a minute.

Smith had 43 catches for 596 yards and three touchdown receptions in his junior season for the Hawkeyes in 2014.
