Five-star QB Jacob Eason picks Georgia over Florida

Five-star quarterback recruit Jacob Eason (Lake Stevens, Wash.) announced his decision to remain committed to the Georgia Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Eason is regarded by many as the top quarterback in the Class of 2016. ranks Eason as the No. 7 overall prospect in his class and the second best quarterback.

Eason initially committed to the University of Georgia but re-opened his recruitment after head coach Mark Richt was fired, and explored the option of transferring his commitment to Florida.

Eason took an official visit to Georgia over the weekend and met with new Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart.

The quarterback is expected to play at next month's U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio before enrolling early at Georgia.
