Stanford running back Barry Sanders Jr. plans to join Oklahoma State as a graduate transfer next season, he announced Thursday.

Sanders’s father also played college football for Oklahoma State. Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy was the quarterback during the Sanders Sr.’s Oklahoma State career.

Sanders will be eligible to play immediately for the Cowboys because he will be a graduate transfer. He saw limited action in three seasons with the Cardinal, rushing for 315 yards on 51 carries in 12 games last season.

Notre Dame WR Corey Robinson named student body president

An Oklahoma City native, Sanders was a top-10 high school recruit and high school All-America selection.
