Alabama assistant coach Bo Davis will leave the program for violating recruiting regulations, report Andrew Bone and Aaron Suttles of TideSports.com.

Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban confirmed on Friday that Davis had submitted his resignation.

The nature of the reported violations is currently unknown.

Davis, the team’s defensive line coach, has reportedly been under an internal investigation by the university.

He joined Alabama’s coaching staff in 2007 before leaving for Texas in 2010, and then returning to the Crimson Tide in the same capacity in 2014.
