Florida State wide receiver arrested for alleged theft of motorized scooter
Florida State wide receiver Jesus Wilson was arrested on a charge of grand theft auto in Tallahassee on Wednesday, reports The Florida Times-Union. According to the Times-Union, police records show that the vehicle was a motor scooter valued at $1,000.
The report also says the incident occurred on campus, where Wilson allegedly took the scooter after noticing that the keys were in the ignition and then crashed it.
SB Nation reports that FSU policy is to immediately suspend any athlete who is charged with a felony, which Wilson's charge is considered until the matter is resolved. From the Florida Times-Union report:
The crime for which Wilson is alleged to have committed is a third-degree felony, meaning he will be suspended from team activities until the issue is resolved or down-graded to a misdemeanor.

Wilson, a sophomore at the university, is a former three-star recruit who spent his freshman season as a backup receiver and punt returner for the Seminoles. He returned eight punts for 89 yards and caught three passes for 23 yards last season, and was expected to compete for a starting position in 2014.
