The University of Michigan and the University of Oklahoma will play a home-and-home series in the years 2025 and 2026, the schools jointly announced on Monday.

Oklahoma will host the first game on Sept. 6, 2025 at Memorial Stadium, and Michigan will host the second game on Sept. 12, 2026 at Michigan Stadium.

The two schools have only faced each other one time previously, a 14-6 Oklahoma win in the 1976 Orange Bowl. From the announcement:

"We are excited to reach an agreement to play Oklahoma, one of the storied programs in college football history," said Dave Brandon, Michigan's director of athletics. "Oklahoma and Michigan have always been regarded as two of the top programs in college football, and creating this type of matchup is great for fans of both programs and the game of college football."
