Rutgers coach Kyle Flood receives two-year contract extension, raise
Rutgers gave head football coach Kyle Flood a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the school through the 2018 season, the school announced Thursday.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but the school said Flood will receive a raise starting next season.

Flood has a 17-11 record in two-plus seasons at the school and has led the program to two bowl appearances.
"Kyle Flood is a tremendous coach for our football team and has earned the opportunity to lead us into the Big Ten and build on our program successes,” Rutgers athletic director Julie Hermann said. “With the generosity of private funding, we are pleased to invest in our Head Coach and our entire staff at a level more consistent with our Big Ten peers.
This is the program’s first season in the Big Ten Conference. Rutgers opens conference play Saturday against Penn State.
