Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan State Spartans
Ohio State is coming off a 55-14 win over Illinois, while Michigan State had a bye week after beating Michigan 35-11 on Oct. 25. Neither the Buckeyes nor the Spartans have lost since dropping non-conference games on Sept. 6: Ohio State fell to Virginia Tech at home, while Michigan State lost at Oregon.
Ohio State and Michigan State are ranked No. 16 and No. 8, respectively, in the latest AP Poll. Saturday's game is at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Mich.

Nov. 1: Ohio State 55, Illinois 14
Ohio State scored 48 unanswered points to open the game before Illinois scored a five-yard rushing touchdown late in the third quarter. Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett finished with 167 yards and two touchdowns, and tailback Curtis Samuel added 63 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Oct. 25: Ohio State 31, Penn State 24 (OT)
Penn State scored 17 unanswered points after halftime to force overtime after allowing Ohio State to score two touchdowns and a field goal in the first half. Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliot carried 26 times for 109 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback J.T. Barrett added two rushing scores.
Oct. 18: Ohio State 56, Rutgers 17
The Buckeyes set a school record with their fourth consecutive game scoring 50 or more points. Tight end Nick Vannett caught two touchdown passes, a new career high. Quarterback J.T. Barrett ran for a career-high 107 yards on seven carries.
Oct. 4: Ohio State 52, Maryland 24
J.T. Barrett threw for 267 yards and four touchdowns on 23 pass attempts to spoil Maryland's Big Ten home debut. The Buckeyes gained 533 yards of total offense without committing a turnover. Ohio State's defense created four takeaways and held the Terrapins to just 66 yards rushing.
Sept. 27: Ohio State 50, Cincinnati 28
The Buckeyes amassed 710 yards of total offense in a convincing victory. J.T. Barrett completed 26 of 36 pass attempts for 330 yards and four passing touchdowns and also rushed for 79 yards on 14 carries. Ohio State did not force a turnover defensively, but the Bucks limited Cincinnati to just 70 yards rushing.
Sept. 13: Ohio State 66, Kent State 0
J.T. Barrett tied an Ohio State record with six passing touchdowns while compiling 312 passing yards on 30 pass attempts. Running back Curtis Samuel tallied 100 yards on 15 carries, including two touchdowns, and the Buckeyes outgained the Golden Flashes 628-126.
Sept. 6:Virginia Tech 35, Ohio State 21
The Buckeyes trailed by a 21-7 margin at halftime and were unable to complete a comeback in the second half. Ohio State committed three turnovers in the game and was just 4-for-16 on third down. J.T. Barrett completed just nine of his 29 pass attempts.
Aug. 30: Ohio State 34, Navy 17
Ohio State defeated Navy for its 25th consecutive regular season win. No Buckeyes player attempted more than 12 rushes in the game but Ohio State had 194 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while the defense also produced a touchdown on a 61-yard fumble return by Darron Lee.
Michigan State
Oct. 25: Michigan State 35, Michigan 11
Tailback Jeremy Langford carried 35 times for 177 yards and three touchdowns, and quarterback Connor Cook added 227 yards and a touchdown through the air. The Spartans intercepted Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner twice and limited him to 125 passing yards.
Oct. 18: Michigan State 56, Indiana 17
The Spartans tied a school record with their eighth-straight Big Ten road win. Michigan State rushed for 330 yards, marking the first time the team rushed for over 300 yards in a Big Ten game since 2007. Running back Nick Hill had 16 carries for 178 yards, both of which were career highs.
Oct. 11: Michigan State 45, Purdue 31
The Spartans earned their fifth win of the season in Week 7. Jeremy Langford rushed for 104 yards on 13 carries and Connor Cook finished the game 19-of-37 passing for 238 yards and three touchdowns. With the game close late at 41-38 and Purdue threatening, Darien Harris sealed the win for Michigan State with a 15-yard interception return for a score.
Oct. 4: Michigan State 27, Nebraska 22
The Spartans have averaged 45.6 points through their first five games, the highest total through five games in school history. Michigan State's defense held Nebraska to its lowest rushing total (47 yards) since 2007. Redshirt senior safety Kurtis Drummond had a season-high nine tackles.
Sept. 27: Michigan State 56, Wyoming 14
Connor Cook threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns on 8-of-12 passing. Out of the backfield, Jeremy Langford rushed for 137 yards on 16 carries with one score. The Michigan State defense forced three turnovers, and the Spartans held possession for more than 10 minutes longer than the Cowboys.
Sept. 20: Michigan State 73, Eastern Michigan 14
The 73 points scored by the Spartans were their third-most since 1946 and their most since hanging 76 on Northwestern in 1989. Michigan State’s seven rushing touchdowns were its most since scoring 10 TDs on the ground, a school record, also against Northwestern in 1989. Tony Lippett scored two touchdowns on three catches and Delton Williams rushed for three scores.
Sept. 6:Oregon 46, Michigan State 27
Michigan State’s 11-game winning streak was snapped in the loss. Quarterback Connor Cook had career highs in passing yards (343), completions (29) and attempts (47). Tony Lippett had a career-high 11 receptions for 133 yards.
Aug. 29: Michigan State 45, Jacksonville State 7
The Spartans improved to 79-36-3 all-time in season openers. Tony Lippett had the first 100-yard receiving game of his career, finishing with 167 yards and two touchdowns on four receptions. The game was just the 15th night game in the 91-year history of Spartan Stadium.
