OSU's J.T. Barrett, ex-girlfriend call 911 over alleged domestic dispute

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett and his ex-girlfriend, Alexandria Barrett-Clark, each called 911 to report a domestic dispute on Tuesday night.

The calls were released by The Columbus Dispatch on Wednesday afternoon. Sean Rowe of ABC6 first reported the incident.

According to Allison Manning of The Columbus Dispatch, neither party was charged in the incident.

Barrett's call came first, at 11:30 p.m. ET. He identified himself and said he had his "ex-girlfriend in [his] house and [he] would like her to leave."

Barrett-Clark called police shortly after and said she had a domestic-violence account to report. The 19-year-old alleged Barrett choked her and flung her across the room. She said she didn't need a medic. She also said that Barrett put his elbow to her throat and that there was broken glass in the apartment.

Barrett later told officers that Barrett-Clark ran at him, pushed him and struck him and he "pushed her away in self-defense causing her to fall onto the bed," according to the police narrative. She refused to leave the apartment after being asked to, Barrett told the officer.

Barrett-Clark told the officers that she was asked to leave and "she told him that she would leave in the morning," according to the narrative. She said Barrett confronted her in the bedroom and “choked her on the bed before using his forearm to apply pressure on her neck before taking her cellphone from her," the officers wrote.

She said she was able to leave and call police.

Ohio State football information director Jerry Emig told The Dispatch on Wednesday morning that the team is aware of the report and is looking into it.
