Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon to enter 2015 NFL draft
Wisconsin junior running back Melvin Gordon said on Wednesday's The Dan Patrick Show that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2015 NFL draft.
Asked by Patrick, "Now that's official -- you're not going back, you'll go to the Heisman ceremony and you'll play in the Outback Bowl, right?" Gordon replied, "Yup."
He later confirmed to the Chicago Tribune's Teddy Greenstein that he will indeed turn pro.

Gordon was named a Heisman Trophy finalist on Monday, along with Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota and Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper.
In 2014, he became the fastest player to reach 2,000 rushing yards in a season and temporarily broke the FBS single-game rushing record with 408 yards vs. Nebraska on Nov. 15 (Samaje Perine of Oklahoma broke the record with 427 yards the following week).
For the season, Gordon has 2,336 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns, both of which lead the country. He also has three receiving touchdowns and 17 catches.

Gordon has spent four years at Wisconsin and redshirted in 2011 after sustaining a groin injury early in the season. In his career, he has 4,664 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns, while averaging 7.8 yards per carry.
The No. 17 Badgers play No. 19 Auburn in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1.
