Stanford left tackle Andrus Peat will declare for the NFL draft, the school announced Tuesday.

Peat, a 6-foot-7, 316-pound tackle who just finished his junior season, is widely expected to be a first-round draft pick. He was named to several All-American teams this season, including by SI.com (first team) and the Associated Press (second team).

The Cardinal allowed only 23 sacks this season, in which Peat was the lone returning starter on the offensive line. He was the 2014 offensive recipient of the Morris Trophy, given annually to the Pac-12's top offensive and defensive linemen as voted by players.

After coming to Stanford as a consensus top-40 recruit, Peat played in 13 games as a true freshman in 2012 before becoming an every-game starter in 2013.

According to NFL.com College Football 24/7, Peat is widely considered an NFL-ready prospect.

He has excellent size and high-level athleticism. He is quick off the snap and can be a road-grader in the running game. He also has the feet and agility to become a high-level pass protector.

Peat's father, Todd, played in the NFL for six seasons with the Cardinals and Raiders.
