Iowa to provide extra security around ESPN's Dan Dakich
Iowa athletics will provide extra security for ESPN broadcaster Dan Dakich for the Hawkeyes' game on Saturday, according to The Gazette.
Dakich, who previously served as an assistant and interim head coach at Indiana, drew criticism for calling Iowa center Adam Woodbury "cowardly" and "gutless" after the junior appeared to twice poke the eyes of Wisconsin players last week.
Woodbury later apologized for his actions, calling them accidental, and Hawkeyes coach Fran McCaffery called on Dakich to apologize.

"Dan Dakich is so far out of line," McCaffery said on his weekly radio show. "He's just lost it on this one. He doesn't know Adam Woodbury. And for him to say the reprehensible things he said about an amateur athlete, it's inexcusable."
During an interview with KGYM radio in Iowa on Wednesday, Dakich stood by his comments, saying there's "no doubt" Woodbury did it on purpose.
Iowa's associate athletics director for external relations told The Gazette there will be a member of the security staff sitting behind the television table on Saturday, when the Hawkeyes host Wisconsin.
