Arkansas has signed coach Bret Bielema to a two-year contract extension with a raise running through December 2020, the school announced on Saturday.

As part of the new deal, Bielema will earn $4.0 million in 2015, with $100,000 jumps in subsequent years and an average annual salary of $4.25 million. The deal also includes incentives that could reach $1 million annually.

According to a USA Today database, Bielema made $3.2 million in 2014.

“Every day since we arrived in Fayetteville, we have worked with our coaches and student-athletes on building something special here at the University of Arkansas,” Bielema said in a news release. “We have assembled another great staff and recruiting class to help us continue to move forward in the SEC West. My wife and I love Arkansas and the tremendous support the Razorbacks receive throughout the entire state. We are also appreciative of the unwavering support of Chancellor (Dave) Gearhart, Jeff Long and the entire Razorback nation as we all work together to give Arkansas something it has never had in the most competitive conference in the nation.”

Bielema took over the Razorbacks after leaving Wisconsin in December 2012. Over two seasons, he has guided Arkansas to a 10-15 record. In 2015, the team won its first bowl game since 2011 and improved by four wins over last season.
