Kentucky remains No. 1, Virginia returns to No. 2 in AP Poll
Kentucky remains No. 1 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll, while Virginia overtook Gonzaga to return to No. 2.
John Calipari's Wildcats (23-0) kept their undefeated record in tact with wins over Georgia and Florida last week despite playing without forward Trey Lyles. They play at LSU on Tuesday before hosting South Carolina on Saturday.
Virginia (21-1) rebounded from its first loss of the season to Duke by knocking off both North Carolina and Louisville last week. The team will be without guard Justin Anderson for four to six weeks after he fractured a finger on his left hand against Louisville. The Cavaliers will play North Carolina State on Wednesday and Wake Forest on Saturday.
• DAVIS: What's next in Syracuse case?
Gonzaga (24-1) dropped to No. 3 despite extending its winning streak to 17 games with wins over Santa Clara and San Francisco. The Bulldogs will look to continue their undefeated run through the West Coast Conference this week against Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine.
Duke (20-3) stays at No. 4 after beating Georgia Tech and avenging last month's loss to Notre Dame. The Blue Devils go on the road this week for games against Florida State on Monday and Syracuse on Saturday.
Wisconsin (21-2) holds steady at No. 5 following wins over Indiana and Northwestern. The Badgers play at Nebraska on Tuesday and host Illinois on Saturday.
