Sophomore guard Jaren Sina parts ways with Seton Hall
Seton Hall sophomore guard Jaren Sina has decided he will transfer from the Pirates, the school announced Wednesday.
"I tried my best. I think it was a good teammate," Sina told the Asbury Park Press. "I've always been positive. I’ve always worked hard. I always gave it 100 percent. It’s not a good situation for me right now. At the end of the day, I think it’s best for me and my family."
Sina was ranked the No. 91 recruit in his class by ESPN and No. 121 by Rivals.com. He chose the Pirates over Indiana and Northwestern.
In Seton Hall's loss to Georgetown on Tuesday, Sina scored nine points in 29 minutes. He has played in every game for the Pirates and started all but one.

There have been multiple reports of animosity in the Seton Hall locker room. As first reported by Gary Phillips at the school's student newspaper and confirmed by Zach Braziller of the New York Post, Pirates guards Isaiah Whitehead and Sterling Gibbs had a heated argument during a timeout in Tuesday's game.
"[T]he situation in the locker room had become untenable for [Sina]," the Press reported.
Head coach Kevin Willard did not address the reported chemistry problems after Tuesday's loss and refused the media permission to interview players for the first time all season.
Seton Hall is 2-6 in its last eight games after starting the season 13-3. The Pirates are 5-7 in the Big East with six games remaining before the conference tournament.
