Big Ten fines Penn State $10,000 for Pat Chambers' comments
The Big Ten has publicly reprimanded Penn State coach Pat Chambers and fined the university $10,000 for comments Chambers made criticizing the officiating at Saturday's Penn State-Maryland game, according to the Patriot-News.
Following the Terps' 76-73 in State College, Chambers called an offensive foul call on the Nittany Lions' Jordan Dickerson the "worst call that I've ever seen in my entire life."
"First of all, time and score. He's too young, he doesn't have a feel for the game, he shouldn't call that foul," Chambers said of referee Kelly Pfiefer, who made the call.

The Big Ten found Chambers' comments in violation of the conference agreement, which calls for "civility toward all, and respect, particularly toward opponents and officials," according to the Patriot-News.
On Monday, Chambers said Saturday is "over with," according to BTN.com.
"I'm passionate about my players," he said. "I’m passionate about my program. And I will fight for these guys every second that I’m the head coach here and every minute for this university and these fans and alums. But it’s over, and I have to move on to Wisconsin."

Penn State is 15-11 on the season (3-10 Big Ten) and in 12th place in the conference. The Nittany Lions host No. 5 Wisconsin on Wednesday.
