Wisconsin team plane forced to make emergency landing

Wisconsin's team plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Pittsburgh Tuesday on its way back from the Badgers' game against Maryland.

The No. 5 Badgers lost to the Terrapins, 59-53, and were forced to spend the night in Pittsburgh.

The team said Wednesday morning that a replacement plane was delayed and its bus to the airport broke down.

Update from Pittsburgh: Think we have a plane but it's delayed in S.C. Thought we had a bus to airport but it broke down. Of course it did.

The plane eventually arrived in Pittsburgh and the Badgers boarded their flight early Wednesday afternoon.

A few hours later they were finally back in Madison.

The loss was Wisconsin's third of the season and snapped a 10-game winning streak. The Badgers have three games left in the regular season, beginning with Sunday's matchup with Michigan State at home.
