TCU head coach Gary Patterson said Wednesday that quarterback Trevone Boykin plans to undergo a procedure in April to fix a fracture in his left, non-throwing wrist, according to a report from David Ubben of Fox Sports Southwest. Boykin will miss the final three spring practices as a result, the report says.

Boykin is expected to be ready for voluntary summer training, according to the report.

"We're going to make sure that gets fixed right," Patterson told reporters while previewing spring practice, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "He won’t go through the last three practices of spring, three or four. We'll get that done so he's ready to go come August."

TCU begins spring practice on Saturday and hosts its spring game on April 10.
