Kansas' Bill Self: Cliff Alexander likely not available for NCAA tournament
Kansas coach Bill Self told ESPN's Andy Katz on Monday that he doesn't expect freshman forward Cliff Alexander to be available for the NCAA tournament.
Alexander, one of the top recruits in the 2015 cycle, has not played since Feb. 23 due to an NCAA investigation into his mother's alleged connection with a loan firm.

Alexander's counsel, Paul Stafford, said in an email to Sports Illustrated's Brian Hamilton that "until we hear otherwise from the NCAA or the University of Kansas, the investigation is ongoing and we shall continue our efforts to cooperate with the NCAA and to get Cliff Alexander back on the basketball court."
Last week, Hamilton reported that Alexander has turned over phone records, text records and bank statements to the NCAA, which is seeking "other information that is out of Alexander's hands."
Self has been expecting to play through March without Alexander "for at least a week now," reports The Kansas City Star's Rustin Dodd.

Alexander averaged 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per game before being held out.
Kansas (26-8) received the No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament's Midwest region and will face No. 15 New Mexico State on Friday.
