Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall will meet with Alabama athletic director Bill Battle in Wichita on Monday to discuss the Crimson Tide's head coach vacancy, reports CBS Sports.

CBS Sports reported last week that Alabama athletic department officials were ready to make an offer amounting to more than $3 million to Marshall. Marshall later said on The Jim Rome Show that he had not spoken to Alabama and had "no idea where that came from."

Marshall also said that it would take a "crazy offer" for him to consider leaving for another school.

Alabama fired head coach Anthony Grant on March 15 after six seasons with the team.

On Sunday, Yahoo Sports reported Marshall is interested in replacing Rick Barnes at Texas. The Longhorns announced Sunday that they and Barnes "mutually agreed to part ways" after 17 years.

Marshall is 204-76 in eight years with the Shockers. Wichita State recently defeated Indiana and Kansas to reach the Sweet 16 before falling to Notre Dame
