Kentucky guard Andrew Harrison apologized on Sunday for a slur he made about Wisconsin center Frank Kaminsky following the Wildcats' Final Four loss to the Badgers on Saturday.

Kentucky guard Andrew Harrison apologized on Sunday for a slur he made about Wisconsin center Frank Kaminsky following the Wildcats' Final Four loss to the Badgers on Saturday.

After Kentucky's 71-64 loss, microphones at the Wildcats' postgame press conference picked up the slur, which Harrison said after teammate Karl-Anthony Towns was asked a question about the play of Kaminsky, who led Wisconsin with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Harrison, with his hands over his mouth, said into the microphone, "[expletive] that [expletive]."

Harrison issued his apology on Twitter on Sunday.

A Kentucky spokesman told the Associated Press earlier on Sunday that it planned to review Harrison's comment before speaking with him.

Kaminsky said Sunday that Harrison reached out to him, and the two talked about the remark.

"Over it, Kaminsky said. "Nothing needs to be made of it."

Harrison scored 13 points and added four assists in the loss, Kentucky's first in 39 games this season.

Wisconsin advanced to Monday's national championship game against Duke, which defeated Michigan State on Saturday.
