Charlotte transfer Torin Dorn has committed to North Carolina Statehe told CBSSports.

Dorn was named Conference USA Freshman of the Year after leading the 49ers in scoring last season. He averaged 12.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while starting half of Charlotte's 32 games. 

Dorn was one of five players to leave the program after Charlotte parted ways with head coach Alan Major. Former NBA player Mark Price, who had been serving as an assistant coach with the Charlotte Hornets, was selected to replace him. 

Dorn had reportedly been deciding between the Wolfpack and the Miami Hurricanes. 

Dorn is a Charlotte native. His father, Torin Dorn Sr., played six seasons in the NFL as a defensive back.
