Former Minnesota AD faces more sexual harassment complaints
Additional women have come forward to report sexual harassment by former University of Minnesota athletic director Norwood Teague, university president Eric Kaler told Minnesota Public Radio on Wednesday.
“We have received a small number of additional complaints since he came forward,” Kaler told MPR. “We're in the process of investigating those and we will ask the external counsel that we brought on board to also look into that.”
Teague resigned on Aug. 7 after admitting to sexual harassment incidents involving two university female employees in July. Teague was accused of groping both women at a gathering of school officials and employees and sending sexually explicit text messages to one of them.
Local sports reporter Amelia Rayno subsequently detailed her personal experience of being harassed by Teague in an article for the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Minnesota has also accused Teague of failing to disclose a lawsuit from his days at VCU, where a female university employee sued Teague and the university for gender discrimination. Teague was hired from VCU in 2012.
Kaler is reviewing candidates for a new athletic director and hopes to hire a permanent replacement by July 1, 2016. Deputy athletic director Beth Goetz has stepped into the role on an interim basis.
