Hawaii has fired head coach Norm Chow, the program announced Sunday.

The Rainbow Warriors are 2–7 this season, and are coming off a 58–7 loss to Air Force on Saturday. Offensive line coach Chris Naeole will take over the team for the rest of the season on an interim basis.

Chow took over the program in 2012 after one season in Utah as the Utes’ offensive coordinator. Chow never won more than four games in his first three seasons as head coach. Chow will leave Hawaii with a 10–36 record, including a 4–25 mark in the Mountain West, in 46 games.

Chow came to the Rainbow Warriors as a renowned offensive mind. He coordinated the offenses of USC, the Tennessee Titans in the NFL, UCLA and BYU in addition to Utah.
