Kirk Herbstreit apologizes for saying Baylor’s Terrell Burt faked injury

ABC analyst Kirk Hebrstreit apologized to Baylor defensive back Terrell Burt on Sunday.
Herbstreit accused Burt of faking an injury during the Bears’ game against Oklahoma on Saturday. Burt appeared to lay down on the field to slow down the Sooners’ offense, but the senior actually sustained an ankle injury. Video showed a teammate told Burt to go down so he could be looked at by trainers.
Sunday, Burt said he would never fake an injury.
I will never ever fake an injury. I will always fight for my brothers and give them my all regardless. #BaylorNation #lionhearted

Fight through an ankle injury he sustained on a precious KO. He kept playing until finally a teammate forced him to sit down to get him out.

I saw what I saw at the time and didn't realize he had tweaked it earlier. I take full responsibility and apologize sincerely to Terrell.
