Four-star Class of 2017 safety Richard LeCounte verbally committed to Georgia on Sunday, becoming the first commit for recently hired head coach Kirby Smart.
Four-star Class of 2017 safety Richard LeCounte verbally committed to Georgia on Sunday, becoming the first commit for recently hired head coach Kirby Smart.
LeCounte is a junior at Liberty County High School in Hinesville, Ga., about four hours south from Athens. He led his high school in tackles with 100 total over 12 games. He was also a weapon on offense, tallying 1967 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns.
He is currently ranked as the No. 2 safety and No. 25 overall player in the Class of 2017 by Scout.com.
