Les Miles to ban players from bars after Dillon Gordon stabbing
LSU head coach Les Miles will now ban his players from going to bars in the wake of tight end Dillon Gordon’s stabbing, reportsThe Advocate.
“I’m cutting it off,” Miles said at his news conference Tuesday. “It’s just not worth it. The reason you go out is because you want social interaction. Social interaction can take place at home, at class, can take place at a number of places. You don’t have to go to a fight night club.”
Gordon was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after being stabbed during an altercation at Reggie’s bar in Tigerland. The senior’s wounds have been deemed non-life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
The 22-year-old tweeted early Tuesday morning in response to the incident.

Gordon, a three-year starter, missed the majority of the 2015 season after undergoing surgery for an Achilles injury he sustained on Oct. 17 against Florida. He has requested a medical redshirt for the 2016 season.
