Minnesota has suspended guards Kevin Dorsey, Nate Mason and Dupree McBrayer for the season, the school announced Tuesday.

The suspension stems from an explicit video showing a sex act posted to Dorsey’s Twitter account on Friday, which was deleted around half an hour after its original posting, according to the Chicago Tribune. Dorsey’s Twitter account has since been deleted.

In a statement, head coach Richard Pitino called the decision “the best thing for the basketball program” with regard to developing “a strong and respectful culture.”

The three players were suspended for Minnesota’s loss at Illinois on Sunday. The Gophers next play Wisconsin on Wednesday.

Mason leads Minnesota with 13.8 points and 4.5 assists per game. Dorsey is averaging 6.8 points per game, and McBrayer is averaging 5.7 points.
