Four-star quarterback Jake Fromm has flipped his commitment from Alabama to Georgia, he announced Thursday on Twitter.

“I want to genuinely thank the fans, the coaches and the staff at the University of Alabama for making me feel so incredibly welcomed into their historically great football program. I want to thank Coach Saban for giving me the opportunity to go play football at Alabama. I am very thankful for the chance they gave me and I will forever be grateful for it,” Fromm wrote before decommiting from Alabama’s program and verbally committing to Georgia.

Fromm announced his commitment to Alabama nearly five months ago. Since then, Georgia hired new head coach Kirby Smart, who offered Fromm a spot on his team. Fromm visited Georgia for the first time last week prior to making his decision to flip his commitment.

Fromm is ranked ninth at his position and No. 91 overall in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com.
